Dr. Trupti Gokani, M.D. is a
Magna Cum Laude (Biology/Economics) graduate from the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Gokani received her Medical Degree
from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Upon receiving her M.D.,
she completed her training in Neurology at the University of Illinois at
Chicago where she was Chief Resident during her final year.
Dr. Gokani has worked in one of the nation's top
headache clinics. Dr. Gokani published papers ranging from Botox efficacy and
safety, to the prevalence of bipolar disorder in cluster headache
patients. Her special interests include non-traditional approaches
to headache management and women's issues and headaches, to name a
few.
Dr. Gokani has extensively
lectured in the field of Neurology, specifically regarding the topics of
Headaches and Adult Attention Deficit Disorder. She has given
lectures to Internists, Family Physicians, Obstetricians, Neurologists,
Allergists, Otolaryngologists, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners,
Residents and Others.
She has also been invited to be a
guest lecturer at Illinois Masonic Hospital, University of Illinois
Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, La Grange Memorial, and Weslake Community
Hospital. Dr. Gokani
will also be training physicians regarding the appropriate technique of
administering Botox injections for Chronic Daily Headaches.
She is currently pursuing a
certificate as a Master Clinical Psychopharmacologist and has obtained the
appropriate credits needed to obtain this certification.
